My NEW Harness Bar!!!!
It's finally done. Installed last night in preparation for Mid-Ohio.
Design goals met:
1) A safe & proper location to mount competition shoulder harness to prevent spinal compression.
2) Use OEM mounting points.
3) Maintain OEM shoulder belts.
4) Allow large drivers & passengers near full seat adjustment.
5) Minimize interior space intrusion.
6) Allow some adjustability for manufacture tolerance variations.
7) Approval by a stringent HPDE event organisor. PCA.
Enough BS, Pics:

Very nice looking, and uses the factory mounting points, very creative. If I ever get into road-racing I would consider this along with some harnesses. Are these for sale EnthuZ?

Looks nice.
I'd suggest you move the harnesses closer together and pass them between the headrest supports. After my harnesses were installed it seemed to me that if I put them outside the supports there was a good chance that they could slide off my shoulders in an impact.
See you next weekend!

Thanks Jeff!
I'll need to make at least a dozen in the 1st run if things go as anticipated. 3 colors. Stardust Silver, like mine. Vulcan Black. Maybe "Coca Cola" red. Probably un-powder coated too.
I'll have more news in April, but I'll put you on the list!
James, sliding off the shoulders shouldn't be a problem. Notice the ........not sure what there called.....mini-hoops? Their location may need refinement though.

My suggestion is to come up with a couple of "hoops" that attach to the headrest poles. You'll have a hoop on each side of the headrest for the straps to pass through...basically imitating a race seat with the harness pass-throughs. You can have that one for free...
BTW: I like your design much better than that other over-priced, Mickey Mouse solution out there.

Doesn't anyone here sleep?
Yesterday I pretended I was a geek.....not too big of a stretch!....and drove on the street with pads on and the belts outside the headrest support bars. No problems! I was more concerned about my chosen anti-sub strap fitment. But the track test is FRIDAY!!!!!
350ed, the threaded arms only prevent the bar from rotating. Low loads. The bar will take all the crash loads.
I tried taking a shot into the rear view mirror, but it's not easy without an SLR camera. But I'll try again! To your concern, their is NO rear view blockage at all for my 5' 10" frame. In the mirror, it's below the top edge of the rear strut bar. With belts attatched, it does block the lower 60% of the right quarter window view though.
Amy, there are already a bunch of camera mounts to mount to roll bars already. I'm trying to keep it simple. Yah, right! I just did a rough count of the # of parts......59 pieces!!!
