Default What springs/sways is everyone running?

This is my first season running AutoX and I want to be more competitive. I want to add sway bars and springs to help my handling. I am looking at either the Hotchkis TVS Stage 1 sways/springs kit or the Tein S Tech springs and possibly the Hotchkis sways. What is everyone else running in AutoX? Thanks in advance for your help.

Default Autocross Setup

I am running in SFR SCCA B Stock.

Sway front EVO set mid
Stock Rear
Koni set mid
18x9 OEM wheeels with Khumo V700 265x35 all around

I am an old guy just learning to drive but placed 5th last race 1 second off. total of 20 entrents in this class. I am still learning to push this setup. It still has a lot left in it.

Chamber is 0 front and -2 rear. 0 toe front and rear. I did this because I also do track days and toe out in the front and toe in in the rear was a concern.

Have fun

350EVO Sways (the only way to go)
Front set to mid, Rear set full stiff
Koni Sport Yellows

Call BJ at 350EVO.com (513.735.2300). I'm sure he'll be more then happy to get you fixed up with a suspension pkg and work with you to get a good setup for autoXing.

Good Luck!
J

I'll have to break that pattern (no offense to EVO products). Hotchkis sways are cheap, adjustable, and light.

My current setup is JIC FLT A-2s with Hotchkis sways med front and med rear.

I was running with Hotchkis springs on OEM shocks (essentially the TVS setup) but I found the springs too soft and the shocks lacked sufficient rebound control to effectively control the car as my pace increased. They're great for street and spirited driving though.

John, don't like your JICs? I'm really enjoying my setup. Fortunately, they're totally quiet to.

BTW - my Hotchkis springs are for sale. Only used for 3-4 months. PM if interested.

There will soon be couple of different suspension dampers avaible for the serious auto Xers and track guys.....
We will be carrying the new bistein PSS series as soon as it gets in. These will be complete ride height adjustable front and rear with adjustable dampening and come with springs and harware.
$1400.00 range
We at 350EVO are also busy developing the MOTON Club sport package. These will have external canisters , high speed and low speed bump adjustments, rebound adjustment, canister preasure adjustment, ride height adjustment......absolute top notch quality product. Also ahve aa variety of spring rates. Moton is THE leading choice for motorsports suspesnion in GT and sedan racing.

On the track they perform decently, but over the past few months I've been reading that their dampers are quite inconsistent and JIC masks this with stiffer springs. After all the noises these things produce, and all the trouble I had to go through to get these things in the first place, I really don't have anything good to say about the company.

Good to hear new things are on the horizon BJ!

I checked titan motorsports website a few days ago and the springs and sways together costed more than 400 bucks. is it a special or something that i could have to call to get that price or is there specials listed somewhere on the website?? $400 is a great price for the combination.

Rajiv,

I sent them an email inquiring if the price was $400 shipped and they responded saying yes. So, I called the next day and ordered them(Wed). The shipping is 3 days max. Unfortunately the springs are on backorder but my sways will be to me Monday. Just give them a call and tell them you know of several people buying the combo for $440 shipped.
