Ok, guys

Step 1b.
To get the short shifter look, in Step 2 slide the blue extender up and off. There will be a short square metal shaft. Then proceed to Step 2 but with out the Blue extender.

I am going to try a leather one, the proplem is if you get one that is to thick of a material then youll have a hard time fitting it between the center peace and trim ring. The boot i have now is a Carbor Fiber look boot. But id rather have black leather.

So could you make the stock shift **** shorter by just taking off the blue extender?

Yea, I was hoping it would work also. After taking apart the **** assembly it doesn't seem like it would be too difficult to fabricate a custom ****. I may get to work on one after I do my glass work in the trunk this week.

I got this **** for Christmas and will install it shortly. I just need to know where you guys are getting the boots. I would really like a leather one with possibly gray stitching to somewhat match the interior of the Z. Where can I get one??
