no, i didnt cut the boot from redlinegoods at all, i have heard though about other boots that people have cut them. yes, getting the ring back in place was the hardest part. you have to take a dremel and cut out some of the supports so that it will fit back on there, otherwise you have to figure out something else, like maybe buy a 6mt dash, but thats more money than i care to spend.

Do they work on the 03's with the side button? The reason I ask is because MOMO says they do not work on shifters with a side button.

yep, it does work on the 03 with the side button cause thats what i have. if you take it off you will see that the side button really just pushes it down, so it does the same as a shifter with it in front or on top, like the momo one

Wouldn't it only be the shifter/ a/c **** portion? Will the 6mt dash fit on a 5at?

i just did this too, with the same momo ****, and aside from the looks being much nicer, it is so much easier to shift when in manual mode. the **** is now much shorter, and it fits right in your hand when its on the armrest, and shifting is much more natural now.

Did you go with the Default height, or the 1.5" drop without the Blue Part?

After buying the MOMO autoknob on e-bay...I did not like to the way it complimented my interior, ending up selling it in the classifieds and I used my OEM **** which in my opinion compliments the interior color scheme. Name: drool.gif
