Rear Wiper Removal (with pictures!)
Awesome write up! Pix really helped...Just did this and all together might of took 45 min or so WITH a trip to Lowes...I am very impressed and with the nismo spoiler you cant even tell the plug is there...
one of the easiest 3.86 mods ive ever done..
get a flat head...pop one clip off the plastic, wedge and pop the second clip then simply pull slowly with some force...and you dont have to shave anything off the Plug, just keep turning it and turning till it clears the inside and it'll be fine....thnx guys.

a faucet hole cover is about 1&3/4". It looks ginormous. Where are you guys geting the small plugs? I went to lowes and the nylon plugs dont fit (either too small or too big). I tried 15/16" and 1"
anyone knows where i can order one online and paint it myself? i already bought the full kit V2 for my Z from gotplugs.com but the guy ripped me off never sent anything, he even didn't reply to my emails. i have also done a Paypal claim and still waiting...
thx

I came on this thread to say I just did the home depot method and am happy with it. Now I see theres another kit to make this home depot method look like a ghetto fix. I'm happt with it but now I already want to make it better.

I have been wanting to do this for two years now. Except I wanted to buy the pre-painted sets, and everytime I was looking for the sets, it seemed like I was a month too late.
Today I finally did it. I found a stainless coated sink plug at Home Depot, and used it. Didn't even paint it (my car is silverstone). Its obviously a different color, but its only noticeable from close distances.
I have a couple of things to add to the original post.
#1. Everyone seems to have trouble removing the wiper arm from the bolt. Instead of trying to pry it off (and possibly scratching your car) simply leave it there, and unbolt the motor on the underside. As soon as the motor is unbolted, the wiper arm just fell off. No effort at all.
#2. The styrofoam washer is entirely too large the way it comes. Trim it down using scissors to a little less than half its size. No more washer sticking out when you start to tighten it down.
3. The very first piece you have to remove is the plastic piece that covers the first bolt. People seemed to have trouble with this as well. Simply grab it at the northern most point of the plastic and push down. Thats where the clip is. It was removed with little or no pressure at all.
