1. I left the 2 bolts from AeroCatch out on the single lock and they started to rust a small amount. So I painted the tops with black rust protection.
2. Completed the second side.
Had these flush mount for some time so I wanted to use them and they mount as I mounts them not from the bottom.
Actually, they ARE designed to be installed from the bottom. What you have are the Aerocatch Flush pins which are different than the Plus Flush ones which are top-mounted. Didn't say you couldn't mount them from the top, just wasn't designed for that.

what up i know this thread is old but i want to ask a question lol.do i need to remove the stock latch to have these pins on my hood?
and did you have any trouble in the alighnment of the pins cuz thats were everyone seems to have trouble lol

I am sure u figured it out in the past 2 months but figured I would enlighten others that might think the same.
You can use the stock latch but I dont as you no longer need it if you have locking pins.
The pins where easy to line up, you just bend the pins a little on the top to adjust for the angle of your hood.
