Tein S-tech springs= happy z
I installed my tein Stec springs on saturday, and I just wanted to post my feelings on them. I think for the price especially, that they are a very good spring, not too stiff, and I love the ride even with stock shocks (which will soon be changed to adjustables).
Where I live, i have a big steep driveway, so these springs give the perfect drop, with a body kit to where i can still get out and around.
all in all, I give them a 9 out of 10.

I did the install at my work, so i didn't have to pay. We usually charge about $100 for the labor, but if anyone on here cruises on down, i'll make sure you're taken care of. the rear is simple, it's the front with the brake lines and the sway bar bolts that is the pain in the butt.

Alignment Isssues
I just took the S-tech springs off my G35 coupe because the right front tire was really starting to wear on the inside edge.
I hadn't had it aligned since I did the drop and drove it for about 5k miles before I took it to a local alignment shop. When I got there the guy looked at it and said it looked like the fronts had about 2.5 degrees of negative camber and the only thing he could adjust was the toe.
I was really bummed so I went home and looked up what parts I'd need to make the suspension adjustable. I found upper control arms for the front and some adjustable links for the rear. For all the parts it was over $1k!
At that point I decided it was cheaper to put back the original springs and not tear up my tires.
I sure liked the look and the handling with the S-techs installed though. Seemed like a good deal at the time.
Maybe the Z has more adjustment than my G, but I didn't think so.

Not All S-tech's the same
I think I've found out the biggest difference between why the S-tech's seem to work so well on the Z, but not so well on the G Coupe.
From the Tein website I got the following:
G35
Fronts 358 lbs/in and 1.2 inch drop
Rears 274 lbs/in and 0.9 inch drop
350Z
Fronts 386 lbs/in and 0.7 inch drop
Rears 402 lbs/in and 0.6 inch drop
That 1.2 inch drop is just killing my front camber. I suspect that the 0.7 inch drop on the springs for the Z are just about the limit you can go without effecting your camber too much.
The S-tech's for the Z on a G might be an excellent combination, but I'm not sure what the 402 lbs/in spring rate in the rear will do to the handling. I'll have to do more research to find out what the stock spring rates are to get a feel for how the balance might change.

I have never heard of s-techs forthe z only. But I know that all of the s-techs that I see people have are softer in the rear like that. Let me know where I can get those s-techs that have 400lb rears.
