OEM Brake Pad Life
I'm curious how may miles people are getting out of their OEM brake pads (non-brembo), especially those who do a considerable amount of city driving (or are in an area with a lot of stop and go traffic).
I began getting brake noise in the mid-20k range... now that I'm at 31k, the noise is present with every application of the brakes (unless they are really heated up). According to a Nissan tech, my brake pads are more than 70% worn.

consider yourself lucky cause that mileage is very high if you mainly do city driving. i had to have mine replaced at 28k, and i have heard of people doing it as early as in the early to mid teens.
do yourself a favor and if you are squeeking that bad already just get them replaced before you do any damage to the rotors. you probably already have a groove worn in, but for that they can just turn them to even it out.

I made it up to about 24,000 on mine, including a few autoXs. Surprised me, because about every car I've ever had lasted about that exact same length, and I'm a lot harder on the Z's brakes
My GTP had mostly highway miles and ceramic OEM pads, and the first set of fronts lasted 60,000 miles and the rears are still on it at 101,000. Pretty impressive to me
Not sure how much has to do with the type of driving and how much the pads, but I never imagined I'd get that kind of grandpa mileage out of those pads...

I got 16k out of my brakes. The dealership however didn't turn the rotors properly and I was getting a fair amount of the car vibrating whenever I was braking. I took it back, they kept it for a week, and finally fixed it this morning. They had to return the rotor. They said there was a lip on it. Works fine so far (knocks on wood).
