Tokico vs Koni Shocks??
I have been searching a few sites looking for some good reviews of these shocks but have not found much. There was a lot of discussion back before either of these came out and around the time they hit the market, but it doesn't seem like many people posted reviews, or the search function isn't hitting on them for some reason.
I am looking for a shock to complement the RSR Ti2000 springs that I have had for a while. From what little info I have seen, either shock will be much better than the stock ones. I am curious as to whether or not the extra money for the Koni shocks is actually worth it or not. Any opinions?

I have the tokico's and love them with eibach springs. Sure, the koni's are a little easier to adjust the rears, but I don't change them every day. Once you get them where you like them, you leave them.

Our roads are pretty good here in Ga. I never really experienced the bounce, but the ride is definitely smoother. When you hit a bump though, the ride is nicely damped, even on soft settings. (I have them at 5 out of 7 for softness since my wife and I drove to orlando a couple months ago. Handling performance is great, they are something I would definitely do again.
I once read that the rear tokicos' dials can be accessed easily if u drilled a small hole on the rear strut bar, but dont know where exactly, any1 who knows care to elaborate?

I have the Koni's on my 2003 Touring. Previously I was suffering very badly from highway bounce. I added Koni's plus Tein-H srings and the ride is notably improved. Can hardly detect the freeway bounce. Highly recommend the Koni's. Expensive but worth it. I also added the Hotchkis Sways. That probably was the biggest bang-for-the-buck improvement I did to the car.

dont forget one thing.... KONI offers lift time garantee on the shocks. I"m not sure if Tokico does the same.
Reason why i broght it up is I had koni;s on my Honda Prelude. For some reason after one really cold winter, they leaked a bit at the top at the adjusting point. So i called KOni and they sent me new shocks. No fuss nothing.

Just how hard are the rears to adjust for either set of shocks. It is sounding like they will both work out in every aspect, but one thing I will do quite a few times during the year is visit the local 1/4 mile track and it would be nice to be able to adjust the rear shocks to a softer setting while out there to help shift weight to the rear tires for better launches. If one is really that much easier to adjust in the rear, then that may be the decision maker. If both require removal of the rear tires for rear adjustment, then I would consider that nearly equal for practical purposes.
I'm a huge fan of Konis The konis are absolutlely easier to adjust. The tokicos need to be unbolted at the top to adjust, the konis do not. Also it is very easy to get the konis revalved. To be fair the only tokicos I've owned are the stock shocks which are made by tokico, they are not very good.
Thanks for the input guys. I decided to go with the Konis mainly because of the ease in adjustability on the rears. I may never end up using that feature much, but it is nice to know I will have it. That plus I went with the 350EVO a-arms and they have a good price on the Konis so I was able to buy from one of my favorite vendors and decrease shipping costs. All in all I am sure I will be very pleased. I will post impressions after install and realignment.
just so you know, you don't have to take the rear tires off to adjust the tokico's either. Just jack the rear up. You do have to remove the 2 12mm upper mounting bolts, but it takes less than an extra 5 minutes over the konis.

Looking forward to your review. Are you getting the alignment because of the a-arms you installed? I thought an alignment wasn't needed when shocks where installed because there is no height being adjusted with just shocks as opposed to installing lowering springs.
