Hell, we are not even a Stoptech dealer and I can tell you that they do not rebadge AP, or anyone else's, calipers. Anyone who knows the deal in this biz will tell you the same.
Another common misconception - more pistons = better braking. NOPE. Simply having more pistons does not do anything except even the pad wear and change the feel - however this is all relative to the diameter of the pistons, and the distance they need to move. While more pistons in and of itself might make for a more "bling" caliper (in terms of size), it has little to do with the actual performance of the system. In some platforms, more pistons are justified....but these are systems engineered from the ground up (Carrera GT is an example).
As for which is the best, it is really impossible to quantify. Each manufacturer has their own pads that are included, and not all pads in the aftermarket are offered for the various calipers. However, if you stick with a top shelf kit - be it Stoptech, AP, Brembo, Project Mu, Endless, you will get amazing performance without a doubt. I have used all of these kits on Z's as well as other cars, and all have performed admirably.

Last track event, a friend of mine with the brembo track setup had overheat issues, where I did not have any at all. He's also a much better driver than me, so I assume he's even able to manage the brakes better. I aslo was riding the brakes(noob mistake) in a couple of fast corners, and still didn't have issues. Even my instructor was surprised by the setup.
wilwood and brakezone
same event there was a BMW CCA club race. Quite a few race cars had wilwood brakes.

Greddy GREX offers 2 different brake kits. They offer both the Alcon, and the Rotora brakes.
I've never seen the GREX Alcon brakes other than the Greddy 350Z, and the Japanese website. They are cost prohibitive.
Like I said the standard GREX brakes are Rotora just offered in different finishes.
