Default Rumor: Used Brembo@ $650.00 = True. (I did)

Yes. Its true.
I received used 4 Brembo calipers, brakets, lines, pads, rotors on Friday.
I paid 650.00 shipped.
Its from afflicate from car-part.com in PA. According to them, its off from front Wrecked 03 G35 coupe.
I sent them an email, they sent me an email with their ph#. I called them.
Talked, they checked (and prepared brake parts) brake kits and called me back to confirm that they have all i need. I paid with credit card, they shipped out same day. Received 2 days later. It was very simple and easy.

Brake Condition, i say 7.5 overall except front pass. side caliper. it has 2-3 of 1/8th inch chips (I have feeling that its pass. front wrecked car since driver side is very clean). Rotors are rusted but its still good, pads have more than 1/2 of meats. Each parts has they own computer printed label attached. (for example, what year, what makes, model, trim, which parts etc.)

Overall, paying 650.00 for Brembos, can't complain. I will try to install in a couple weeks and write up review again.

For now, I wanted to share this info with you guys so people like me can afford awesome brakes on their Z.

rough condition or not. um so if he has to get new rotors he can get em for like 400. so now hes spent a grand to have brembo 13 inch brakes. thats still like 1/4 of the gt bbk

and rotor rust will come right off after he drives around on them for a lil bit. and calipers being chipped i assume he means that it has a paint chip. my suggestion is order the brembo stencil and put it on and paint the brakes. remove the stencil and theyll look brand spanking new.

I hear they have some pretty decent brembo fake rotor caps that go for about 150 bucks and they look authentic.

oh my god. where can i go see more of your caliper pictures?
i want to see more. red will look hot on black z.

and.. i turn my rotos at pet boys for $8/piece. i spent 24 dollars to clean up/ resurface rotors. Since brembo stock pads has too much dust, i might order set of new pads. then only worry is paint chips on front pass. side caliper.

Of course, I had more than 2-3 1/8th inch chips after 2003z powdercoated and shipped them (for the $100 it cost me, I'd suggest you get them coated locally or just buy some cheap touch-up paint).

do you know if that retailer has any more Brembo brakes around???

I've been looking for over a year for a set of Brembo calipers for under $1k b/c I'm going to use 2pc floating rotors and SS lines with them (after they are powdercoated silver, of course ) - if you wouldn't mind, could you PM me the info on the people you bought those from?

<The $100??? Excuse me???? I refunded half of your money, or did you forget that, after offering to redo them for free at that point in time, or at a later point in time whenever you wanted and even offering you a total refund. Plus it took you almost a month to get the old ones back to me.

Yes, there was a shipping problem with fedex, but I went out of my way to try to remedy the situation. Plus now, I never ship anything that will be in the system over the weekend, and I use dhL next day air.

i can vouch for Mike's customer service.

he over extended himself in trying to color match a custom Lambo Yellow.

went above and beyond in sending me multiple samples for me to decide.

top notch guy who works out of his garage. can you find better work from professional powder coaters, maybe. can you beat Mike's price, I highly doubt it.

They are stockers, but yes.

I didn't forget anything. Yes, you refunded half, and between shipping to me and ~$25 to ship mine back to you. If we add it all up, it cost me ~$100. No excusing needed.

You were already complaining about the time so sending them back for a re-do seemed errrr... wasn't going to happen. And redoing them at a later time would cost me hundreds of dollars so while it's a nice offer, it simply doesn't make sense to do. Between discussing the probelm with you, fixing them, getting the corect brake pads (Stoptech shipped the wrong ones), and installing them, we already went over the delay in getting the core back to you.

Honestly, I was more understanding until you sent that PM saying I had the calipers for over four weeks (it hadn't been three yet), and demanding that they be sent back by Wednesday (Pm'ed on Sunday, so that's three days) or you'd "assume" I'd be keeping the core set and I'd lose my deposit. That was a surprise.

I'm glad others have had positive experiences, however I did not, and thus recommend that people get it done locally or buy some $35 G2 paint and do it themselves.
