Default Installed Tien H Tech Springs

I just got done installing my Tien H Tech springs. I didn't go with the S Techs because I didn't want that slammed look. I just wanted a bit lower with a better ride. Mission accomplished. It definintely rides better, and right now the tire is level with the fender - no gap. It will probably settle another 1/4 - 1/2 inch, which would still be fine. As you can see from the comparison between stock and Tien, is only a small difference in height. But the gold is sexy!

I must say, this was the hardest thing I've ever done on a car. Not that it was technically hard. Its not, but man, the factory did not torq the nuts down - they were on way tighter than they should have been. I broke two sockets on this job, and I was doing it with hand tools.

It took me 7 hours to get the job done. I was physically exhausted. But anything worth it takes a bit of sweat.

I highly recommend the H tech springs for those of you who don't want that super low, modified look. Cornering is vastly better, and the ride is super smooth now - bye bye bounce.

Hmmmm...the H-techs are only supposed drop .2 in the front and .3 in the rear. I had them, and they never dropped more than that. I still had plenty of wheel gap....the car looked like it hadn't been dropped at all. Something's wrong.

Even with S-Techs the car still look stock when first installed. After a few weeks it looks a little bit lower but not much.

That means nothing.....tire diameter is still the same.

They do....about 1/2" more than the H-Techs.

I installed the Type S on Factory 17" and still have gap in the front and the back. I do not see how the Type H would give almost no gap.

H-techs on left, stock on right:

I have a 2 finger gap all the way around with the H-techs. The average person on the street and even most Z owners won't know its lowered. When directly compared to a stock Z though, you can see the subtle difference. Its not a spring for those who want the slammed look or even an obvious drop.

Ah yes, but then I am not running a stock tire either. I'm on 17's, and I plus zero'ed the tires, so their diameter is a bit larger (by about 1/4 inch front and back proportional.)

Here's a shot. If you compare my shot to the one above, you'll see I have more sidewall - that makes up some of the gap as well.
