Your Big Brake Kit .. which is best?
Guys,
Everyone is paying so much money for their big brake kits.
The price ranges from 1800 - 6000!
Which BBK provides the best braking performances for the dollar?
The following article shows that the Stop Tech and the stock Brembo have the almost the same braking distance.
I know there is a big difference in the heat and everything.. but...
change the pads and the rotors.. your big brake kit might not really worth the money..

OF COURSE, there is a huge difference in the looks!
So is it Stoptech that is not doing so well or is the stock brembos doing really good.
I heared AP and Alcon makes the best brakes

It depends on what application. Stock Brembos are doing really good for some people. Others run out of heat capacity and start to feel fade. It depends on you and how you drive.
I would never state that STOPTECH isn't going well. I'm pretty confident that most BBK's on this forum are STOPTECH's.
AP Racing and Alcon do make good brakes, but that can be a subjective topic. It's up to the end user.
My personal opinion? Here's my car...
please dun mistake me. I am not saying Stoptech is bad.
Its just that they used that brake for comparision, so that;s why I used stoptech as an example.
How about the Brembo F50 BBK.

BBK will not drastically effect braking distance until the brake system starts to heat up at a road course. That is where a BBK will shine compared to a stock setup where fade will inevitably start to kick in.

our race cars have to use the factory brembo's...
but we did have the 2 piece floating stop tech rotors made for our race cars... which we also now sell to the public...
I vote for stop tech...

this same question has been asked about 10 times.....the right answer, is there is no right answer
the purpose of a BBK is not to reduce stopping distance. A good set of pads will easily net you that.
the purpose of a BBK is to be able to make that stop, be it 60-0, 100-50, etc over and over and over and over again without fading. At best you'll get 5-6 60-0 stops on a stock setup before fade is introduced.
