Default springs HELP

I have been searching springs and there is too much confusion so i'm just going to sort of repost. sorry to all you repost haters. Alright first i'm looking for springs that will drop my car the most but not have to worry about camber and toe and all that crap. Also how much does h&r springs really lower your car is it 1.5 all the way around or 1.0 in front and 1.3 in rear some ppl say one way others say the other. Also what does you guys think about tanabe nf210 with 1.2 drop all the way around. Thanks.

Personally, I think if you dont want to worry to much about camber and toe and alignment problems, dont use springs that will bring you lower than 1 inch drop. I still really like my Hotchkis springs. 1 inch drop after settling and feels real good driving hard over stock springs. Also, whatever you do, and this is only my opinion, dont get springs that lower a little more in the front than the rear. I hate the raked look. There are a few springs out there that do that. BEN

I went with Hotchkis too. Lowered 3/4" at first and a little more after springs settled. No worries of camber and toe and did not have to spend an arm and leg for camber kits. Did get an alignment right after installing. Look is just right for me- a noticeable drop but not too low.

Eibach Pro-kit here......

.8 inch drop front, 1.2 inch drop rear. Car aligned ok. Very aggressive looking. See gallery in my sig for pics of drop.

The ride of my car with these springs is great, too.

Your choices are limited if you don't want to have severe camber/toe, which means a drop of no more than ~.75"

Most common choices for that range of drop are:
Hotckis
Tein
RSR

Other than those, you can get a full coilover setup and only drop about .6-.75". Going with the eibachs, I would almost gaurantee you wouldn't get your car in spec. You might pull the rear close, but NO WAY on the fronts.

IMO, your best option is the hotchkis. Go with the full TVS setup that includes the sways.

is it ok to drive with my car aligned out of spec. Would it just me faster tire wear.

An improperly aligned car will not handle as it is supposed to. While it may not pose a safety issue, it could potentially take away from the driving enjoyment of the car, and yeah, you'll go through tires faster.

It's a bad idea. the negative camber won't hit you too hard, but the toe being off will. If the toe is off bad enough, you could eat up a set of tires in a 1000 miles.

After installing the springs, maybe give them a hundred miles or so. Make sure to give the car a run through some corners enough to know the springs are installed properly and seated. Then get an alignment.

Springs DO NOT SETTLE. Once you drop the car down after the install, the entire suspension is "stretched"- the absorbers for the most part. After that, the first time you exercise the suspension, that is the drop; give or take a little. The springs may seat themselves a bit, but that is about all.

Axewielder: Thanks! I like my "Wicked Bytch"

OverboostedToy: Thanks! They are the factory shocks. It rides and handles great, and I've had no problems with the setup. It was a great "budget" suspension change since it was $230 + alignment fee and I put 'em on myself.
