I'm ready for some kind of drop
How much drop? It says about an inch or so on hopup racing...
Hows the ride quality, handling improvement etc etc?
THANK YOU!

The Tanabe GF210's are great springs and well worth the money. I honestly was not expecting much from just lowering springs but it exceeded my expectations. The drop is perfect with 19 inch wheels and the height and spring rate improve the handling of the car. Handling is more responsive, entering and exiting corners are more effortless and the overall ride quality feels like stock. We definitely recommend getting an alignment after the install. The specs of the springs are listed on our website.

Actually, I work very close with Tanabe and I have helped them with some of their R&D and all their springs are road tested on factory shocks on all their applications to optimize the life of the factory shocks.
Nice. I was gonna post asking about these. I decided since I want the Tanabe exhaust I might as well put all the other Tanabe parts on the car as I can since I hear they are quality race inspired parts. Do they make sway bars? I thought about ordering Nismo shock/spring set and Nismo sway bars but these look just as good and better priced.

Yes we will be carrying the 7's. Theyre expected to be released Jan 06. These by far the best coilovers Ive seen so far for the Z depending on the application for what it will be used for. We do carry Tanabe sway bars, they have both front and rear available. I have these sway bars in person; chromoly hollow design yet it is very strong. When you hold it in your hands you would never think that it is a hollow design meaning lighter weight yet still very strong and durable.
I have these and LOVE them, the drop is nice and the handling is nice too. Here is a link to my Tanabe gallery: http://photobucket.com/albums/v332/b...Tanabe%20Drop/
To support the idea that they will not stress out the oem shocks, notice that they are not much stiffer then oem. (All Stiffness vs oem figures are vs 2003/2004 cars which use 314/342 spring rates, 2004.5+ cars use much higher rear rates 427lbs)
Tanabe GF210 Series 350Z progressive spring design front/rear
Spring rates in LBS 336/375 (peak rates)
Stiffness vs oem F+7% R+10%
Tanabe NF210 Series 350Z progressive spring design front/rear
Spring rates in LBS 314/353 (peak rates)
Stiffness vs oem F+0 R+3%

Anyway, stability is much improved with these springs and I noticed better "hook up" and acceleration from a dead stop. I also seem to have better control of that damn clutch that engages so far out. No more of that bouncing *** like a stripper (Magic City) if you drop the clutch.

. I posted another thread here about some things I noticed and hope someone will chime in.

I know I'm gonna catch it for this one but I've been driving the car and really enjoying the new feel. Cornering is better, acceleration is awesome and it looks 100% better with those fender gaps filled. But, I've noticed a few things and want to know if it has to do with not having an alignment. First, when I pull from a dead stop in 1st gear it feels like I'm riding over grooves in the road. Sorta like those deals on the side of the road that keep you awake when you drift off. In 2nd gear I don't feel it as much but I start to hear a bit of knocking from the rear and it becomes really pronounced in 3rd. Heavy 4th gear acceleration is fine.
Looking at the car from the rear you can definetly tell there's A LOT of negative camber which makes for awesome cornering BTW. By lowering the car and not having done the alignment yet is it possible that the rear driveshafts could be under stress?? Could this be leading to the different feel of the rear end and the knocking I'm hearing?? Basically, I don't much mind a little wear on the tires but I don't wanna f**k up the rear end..

could you expand on your comment "These by far the best coilovers Ive seen so far for the Z". Can you explain what specifically impressed you? Also do you know what your pricing will be?
as to not get off topic of this thread (NF and GF springs) you could respond to this thread on the sustec seven - https://my350z.com/forum/brakes-and-suspension/148032-tanabe-sustec-seven.html
thanks
