Default clicking noise when turning...

I have been noticing a clicking when I turn at low speed lately. Like it clicks left, then i turn right and it clicks, then back and forth. I have Hotchkis sways and springs. Any ideas?

Does it click at all when you're in a straight line? Or does it only occur when you're turning?

well it isn't like a repeated click like the wheel is hitting something it is just an initial click when i turn, like something is shifting. I have collars for the sways but have nsot installed them yet. Could the sways be moving then clicking when they stop? I haven't noticed it while going straight.

This sounds is coming from the front, not the rear.

Its your sways, mine did that and they needed to be re-torqued. I believe they are starting to do it again. Did the noise get progressively louder. If so its getting looser.

I have the Hotchkis sways as well. Check there first.

do you have the mcgaurd clamps on your sways? If you don't know what i'm talking about then you need them, they prevent the hotchkis sways from moving back and forth(creating clicking noise).

They aren't McGuard clamps (your are thinking lugnuts ) They are McMaster-Carr clamps. I have them but have yet to install them...will do that soon though when I fix clicking noise.

The part numbers you need (two of each) for www.mcmaster.com are...

Front
6436K146
Two-Piece Clamp-On Collar Aluminum, 1-3/8" Bore, 2-1/4" OD, 9/16" Width
$9.66 each (2 needed)

Rear
6436K141
Two-Piece Clamp-On Collar Aluminum, 15/16" Bore, 1-3/4" OD, 1/2" Width
$7.18 each (2 needed)
