Default rotors

anybody have a problem with stock (non-brembo) rotors when they were resurfaced? shop is trying to tll me they can't be resurfaced. hot spots???

The stock rotors are too small... I got some hot spots after they were resurfaced once. It was ok because they were bellow spec and needed to be replaced... you should be able to see the hot spots... they'll be darker areas usually strips of darker metal that either go all the way around or maybe half way. Usually they're smoother than the other areas also. These hot spots actually have had a change in their atomic structure and are very hard and can't be resurfaced. It wouldn't surprise me a bit if you got some... the new Zs have bigger rotors.
