Default Is it OK to turn slotted , drilled, or drilled-slotted rotors?

I currently have Rotora Slotted Rotors and I am about to get new pads.

I had the rotors turned once.

I am thinking of turning the rotors again but someone told me that you are not suppose to turn slotted rotors.

Is that true?

you can turn slotted rotors. main reason why most shops won't is because there is a good chance of messing up the bit that cuts the rotor down

Whether you have Slotted, Drilled, Slotted/Drilled...it's fine. Like ^^ said, alot of shops won't mess w/it b/c they don't want to take their time doing it.

Yes. If the rotors meet the minimum recommended thickness, machine them.

also known problems about turning them is that they can get sharp around the edges where the slots/drills are and can eat up your pads very quickly. if you do turn them then sand out the edges to make sure they dont cut the pads...thats what i did atleast

Also unless you have caused some damage to the rotors they probably do not need to be turned. I have had mine on for a long time and have not turned them.

What makes you think you need them turned?

If it is becuase you are feeling some vibration I would first try a new set of pads and bed them in properly to take off any built up pad material which is usually the cause of vibration.
