Tire slip with Hotchkis sway bars
Hey guys, I recently got the sways and set them both on hard/front hard rear. I noticed when i corner hard, tire slip light comes on, which never did before adding the sway bars. Is it dangerous to have this setup? Will it be better if i adjust the rear setting? I dont really have easy access to adjusting the sways, so I really want to know if anyone else has this setup or suggestion/advice. Thanks.

tire set up is 245/275 both 35 profile 19x8.5 front/ 19x9.5 rear.
im thinking maybe my rear is too stiff? estimated 150% stiffer than stock, but not sure if that's the cause. I really like the feel of the car now though, just afraid of safety issues...

when you corner hard the rear is trying to snap out
and VDC/TCS is holding the rear together thus the slip light...
its called the computer is putting on brakes in the rear to stop the oversteer yo caused from corning HARD!
omg... not the sways
The back end is probably rotating/trying to come around due to the stiffer sway bar. This slight rotation is causing the slip light to come on as the VDC senses an impending oversteer condition.

you're probably right, but i never had this problem before the sways with the same type of driving, same cornering; my questions was by making the rear stiffer, would it make it easier to slip, and if anyone else had this setup with feedback

It makes the slip happen faster. Your sways decrease body roll so the only thing to give are tires and i was told that if you have it on full stiff it becomes snappy. Mine are on medium which is good for aggressive street.

thanks for all the help and understanding guys, I guess I will have to take time out on my busy schedule to get this adjusted and fixed. The last thing I want to happen is to pull a 360 on a highway

How much throttle did you apply?
A stiffer sway-bar will make that axle more sensitive to uneven pavement. Braking traction more easily, the car just skims over the bumps without digging in.
It’s part of the compromise you make when playing with sway-bars. Yet, you’re probably still faster than without the bars.
