Its hard to say with only that info. Be in that typically 2pot offer more force than a single pot, but it also has to do with the valve size internally. Yet another variable is that the 06 have a larger diameter rotor, which in turn offers more surface area.

sorry, didnt really answer your question...

I just went out and checked out my '06. The rear calipers have a single scallop on the outside and a single hump on the inside. The fronts have a double scallop on the outside and a double hump on the inside. Assuming each hump has a piston in it, this would seem to be contrary to the '06 specification chart posted and in line with DavesZ#3 and Lowrider's comments.

06 front brakes are different for non-brembo 350Z
06 rear brakes are unchanged for non-brembo 350z

06 2 piston caliper is direct bolt on to earlier 350z when using new larger rotors...

but i wouldnt call the 2 piston caliper an "Upgrade" just yet...

there is nothing available for pads compared to the single piston 2003-2005 caliper...

nothing more aggress then a HPS pad for the 2006 and that isnt much of an aggressive pad at all...

new pads will be coming out soon im sure... but nothing yet..

Nope - Rears are different too. Old one's were 11.5", new ones 12.1". Both .63" thick. I THINK, the calipers are the same, but not sure. But, I AM SURE the rotors are larger.

Yes. The front and rear rotors and calipers are different for the 2005 and up G and the 2006 and up Z. The new pad size is similar to the Brembo setup. I had purchased a Brembo 4 wheel kit and compared the pads, rotors and calipers. The Brembo calipers are definitely bigger. I could not use them with my G sedan wheels or the enkie winters or track wheels. From what I understand, the new pad is the same as the older M45's.

I should go back and check my old posts...

Rear Calipers are specific to the 06 NON Brembo 350Z...

$322.63 each MSRP... Selling price will be around $236.10

Rear Pads & Hardware are specific as well...

$78 MSRP for pads and hardware.... selling price will be around $55.00

Rear Pads alone are $41 MSRP... selling price will be around $33.00

Rear E-Brake Assemblies are different.. Not sure if the 2003-2005 will work... They are MSRP $335 EACH Side... selling price around $252 each side...

Rear Rotors are MSRP : $85.00 each... Selling price will be around $64.50 each... These rotors are Specific to the 2006 350Z....

A full new rear brake upgrade will run you $1160.20 including the new rear E-Brake Assembly

A full new rear brake upgrade will run you $656.20 not including the new rear E-Brake...

$1160 isnt worth it if stoptech bbk is just $700 away and racingbrake bbk f/r kit is only 200 dollars away...

One of the first things I noticed when I traded my 04 for an 06 was that the front brakes were larger, I can actually stop now!!
