Default painting calipers

i want to paint my calipers either black or red considering i own a black Z. but i dont want that cheap spray paint stuff. i want somthing glossy like powder coat. does any one know if powder coat will withstand the heat? or have any other idea's?

I was thinkin bout that too....until I realized that's what I did on my old civic haha...true what he said...."its Z, not a civic"

well you guys are right but big brake kits are sooo expensive. like 1500 for just the front. i dont have that kinda money.

I've used the brush-on stuff. I looked really nice. As to not doing it because it's a Z... I beg to differ. I have a SS Z, and I plan to do a silver caliper paint to match the wheels. Black would look good on yout black car as well. I'm doing it to give the car more of a clean look. The stock calipers get brake dust all over them, which is hard to clean off the un-painted surface. Just my 2 cents

I applied 10 Coats of the Duplicolor Caliper Paint to mine and it looks like Powdercoat. The duplicolor kit can be had for $15 and has enough paint to do 10+ coats on each caliper, great value and great results.

Yeah, my calipers are all chipped up in the back (damn chip seal), so I am going to paint mine black to add some contrast to the rotors and wheels. I would go red but I am trying to keep my Z a low key sleeper.

I got the Duplicolor kit as well, just waiting till I change the pads and rotors so I can do it all at once.
