Default installing springs...help!

im in the process of installing my tein s techs. i decided to start ont he front since i heard it was harder. well i have the spring/strut assembly off the car. i have 2 spring compressors on it and its pretty damn compessed. i cant seem to get the spring off the strut though. everytime i turn the top nut with a socket, the whole top of the assembly turns. any ideas? i searched and cannot find any suggestions other than an impact wrench. someone must have done this without one. any help would be much appreciated.

Clamp the top most portion of the damper piston with a visegrip. Use a bicycle rubber bladder to protect the chrome finish.

OMG... just hold the front strut/sping combo between your legs and slowly remove the nut with an air drill. To reinstall, place the upper mount back on the spring and compress. Have your buddy start the nut for you then air drill to the rescue again. It was easy.
Rear springs? Use a jack to compress the rear housings, then slowly lower the rears back down while removing the springs (while rear is jacked up).
You guys don't need all these silly tools... these springs aren't super heavy duty truck springs, and they don't have 1200 lb/in rates either

It should be obvious looking at the OEM spring.

The larger diameter part of the spring goes on top.

He doesn't have an air drill...

Your method is a good way to have bolts flying around and stripped threads on the strut...

it was technically more challenging to install the springs than taking them apart....i replaced my stock struts with Tokicos last summer. Took four straight hours to do all four.

or find a friend to help, no pressure on the NUT (which is what would fly around in that case)

3.5 hours: front and rear springs, front camber arms, rear camber and toe links, balance wheels/tires (1st time on a 350z for us)

not too tough, very easy car suspension to work on (no lift, just floor jacks)
and nobody even broke a nail

Default suspension noise after spring install

Anybody experience a creeking noise after installing lowering springs? I installed Eibach springs and the rear adjustable camber arms w/ toe bolts, and went up to 19" wheels. Now I'm noticing a noise that sounds like something is flexing or loose. It happens when I'm moving slowly over a bump or turning around slowly. I got it alligned of course, but not at the dealer, I'm wondering if I damaged a strut re-installing it.

How did everthing work out? Did you re-use the factory rubber stops with the new springs?

Default suspension noise after spring install

I'm still waiting to get my car in to the dealer for a good alignment. I love the way the car looks and feels, but there is definitely a creeking noise that sounds like something is loose or something. It could be a problem with the factory shocks, since I 've heard they wear out fast after lowering springs are installed. But you can hear noises from the suspension now??
