Default Another one of my Suspension Dilemmas, which COILOVERS? RS, LS+, CS, Buddy club??

thanks to the help of many people, ex. g35sedan. i've desided on coilovers. Right now i'm looking at the main ones, HSK RS, HSK LS+, Tein CS, and the less popular Buddy Club. These i believe all have a comfort side to them and i think they all drop enough to my likings (maybe not the CS, not sure). i have sometime for saving up, so i wanted to see what people can compare and contract between these. thanks for putting up with my thread that all seem to repeat themselves.

thanks, hmm i don't know, i'm sure any of them would be great quality and stuff, maybe a popular name brand is best. or maybe your just paying more for the brand...

or how about noise? anyone know if any of these are known to be noisy, click or anything, Herb said the BUddy Club does a little. but i didn't hear anything.

you really need to start searching....all have been discussed in some detail at this point. Show up at a local meet and go for a ride in some members coils...I am sure you'll find people with most if not all of those that you listed

It's hard to say with quality holding up to it's name. In most cases, "brand names" like Tein and JIC are pretty good in the beginning, then they start to suck somwhere early on. I've know a lot of drifters that switched from either Tein, JIC and, Megan that switched to Silk, Swift, Zeal, or even go with a degassed/revalved set of performance shock/struts like koni, and bilstein with swift springs. - "brand name" items that have a strong showing.

noise? hard to say. It could be an installation flaw if there is noise or just the the noise of the coil binding. My silks havent caused any noise in the suspension. I have a creaking noise, but that's from my swaybar bushings. I need to grease those up.

Go with the RS. Nice tight ride without the pain of a stiff suspension. Noticeably better handling and plenty of lowering adjustment.

+1 for the RS's.

I have them also and I track and auto-x my car frequently and they really are a good dual purpose coil-over.

I had Koni/RS-R set-up before and liked it and thought it rode good, until I got my RS's. i dont have any complaints, there exactly what i was looking for, not too stiff, good ride, and yet still tunable to handle track days.

The finish and quality of the parts still looks great and I would buy them again if I had to do it over again.

i see you're on Oahu, .... have you gone by Vakamon Motorsports and talked to Farid or Ryan?
Farid had the LS+'s on his G, I loved those, driving around dowtown with all the bumps and stuff wasn't bad at all!
They also have some RS*Rs from what I 'hear'. I drove Farid's G with the 'proto' RS*R's in LA, ... Very nice! I loved them! Just not sure if you can get them or not....

I am also having a hard time deciding on which coilovers to go with....
