Default Suspension overhaul help?

Hey guys. I was going to do just springs but I've been thinking If im gonna spend my time under the car, I might as well install swaybars, and shocks while im down there.
Any suggestions? As far as the drop, my only requirement is a 1' drop all around, linear spring rates. I was looking at the RSR springs, but the linear tanabe's look nice too. The RSR springs have better spring rates for my application which is street use w/ cabaility to mess around on turns. I may autocross next year once I get some more experieince and cash driving the car.
I was looking at swaybars, and Stillen and Cusco look nice. They look like they're far better than my capabilities ever will be, so thats always good.

Shocks: tokiko D spec. I like their offerings better than koni's.

The only part im still questions are the springs. I Dont really want to have to get a camber/traction kit, so the 1' drop is a max... Can someone guide me?

even on a 1 inch drop, with your tires, you are going to need a rear camber/toe kit - front camber will be more than spec, but not too bad, and it only helps turn in response, so no need to stress about those

getting your hands on RSR's will be virtually impossible for a while to come yet, so might want to expand your search - they also don't drop the car an inch, more like just over half an inch (had these on my car back when I first got her in 03).

Another thing worthy of looking into is the full Hotchkis TVS - sway bars and springs for under $500 is a tough thing to beat, and if you're doing 95% street driving, it's all your car would ever need

Thanks- I couldve sworn the RSR were 1' front 1.2'' rear?

I was actually looking at the full Hotchkis TVS yesterday, and you're right 500 bucks is hard to beat. I'm almost sure I'll never be able to drive good enough to need more anyway.

Ill look around some more.

And I did find a vendor the the RSR springs.

RSR's published drop for the ti and non ti are .6 inches front and rear - I had them on my car, and don't even know if it dropped that much. As for stock, make 100% sure whomever you are talking to has them in stock. RSR USA has none, and has kept pushing back the arrival dates. I would realisitcally not expect anything from them till later into the Fall.

But, like I said, for the money the TVS is impossible to beat

Awsome. Thanks. I was also thinking about getting shocks at the same time. Would I notice a difference w/ or w/o them? I like having a stiff ride, but w/ little or no roll.

You should consider the Koni 8241 Sport shocks. Relatively cheap, adjustable for rebound and you will notice a difference. I wrote a technical article on them for the now-defunct Sport Z Magazine and they were impressive.

Bump:
More research later,
Stillen or Cusco swaybars. I like the solid design of Cusco, and the adjustability of Stillen..

RSR springs still.. The drop is light, but I like the rates..

I was concidering that, but these tires aren't bad at all. They're running me better than the stock bridgestones, al abeit slightly more flex. I fixed that by putting 2 or 3 psi more air pressure.

my point is it is still not a max performance tire - they will be your limiting factor, not what swaybar you choose.
