Default Stoptech Stage 2

Whats up all. I had the Stoptech Stage 2 installed on my car over the weekend at a local Nissan dealership here in Chicago. Only took it there as I had a blown window motor as well. Pads are Hawk HPS and I did the appropriate bedding procedures after picking up my car. As I drove home, I noticed an abnormal noise (not a squeaking or grinding) when applying the brakes. The best description is like a Great America ride coming to a stop on rails....yes this description kinda sucks. Any ideas?

when I did my stage 2. I mistakenly bend the metal plate that blocks the brake dust on the inner side of the rotor. The plate was scratching up against the rotor as I drove and stopped. Might be that, I bent the metal plate back a little and no more noise. Hope it helps.

Are you sure they were Hawk HPS and not AXXIS Ultimates? The Stage 2 kits do not come with HPS pads anymore and the Ultimates are a more aggressive pad then the HPS.

We really need to get a DIY wrote for this kit. I'll try to get one up as soon as I return home. What's this bending of the dust shields though?

Bending or removing the heat shields will help with the dissapation with eat but you will get a lot of brake dust!

Yes, they are the Hawks. Actually, switched out the Axxis for the Hawks and now am kicking myself in the **** for it! After driving this setup for about a month now the noise continues. Again, it is not a squeaking noise or a grinding noise but rather a "whistling/whooshing" noise as I come to a stop
