Switching to Bilstein pss9
Hi guys
with my car sitting so low at the front with the Nismo V1 bumper and Tanabe NF210 + Tokico Dspec shock combo, i was thinking of switching to a height adjustable system, and maybe even later fitting a Roberuta electric front lift kit
i drive purely on street, no track work, so am looking for the most comfortable coil over setup, and from what ive read, this is the PSS9
im really happy with my current setup, it is softer than stock and alot more bump absorbent. Last thing i want is a coilover that crashes over every pothole, bump in the road
the linear front springs are a bit of a worry, i tend to think my current setup is so soft over bumps because the springs are progressive. Are there any coilovers with progressive springs?
also i tried googl'ing the PSS9 but couldnt find any vendors selling them. Can someone stear me towards some online shops so i can start comparing shipping quotes
thanks
btw: current ride height. With the rubber lip removed i can gain some clearance, but id rather leave it on as a buffer for smacking the front bumper on driveways, speed humps etc

We sell them, and have them in stock. Very comfortable coilover I might add, and the drop is not as aggressive as most other coilovers on the market. I am thinking of possibly switching to these as well.

great mra, im all for different options
will they be a street setup
i always thought coilovers are purely for track work, which is why im hesistant atm
but what appealed to me about the Bilsteins is Nissan dealers here offer as an option the standard PSS system, so im hoping its not rock hard
another thing that im curious about is the height adjustment. How do you know all coilovers have been set at the right height. Do you count the threads or is there a better tool?

i have the PSS9, and love it. its comfortable firm. not soft, if thats what ur looking for. the PSS9 has the shock adjustment and the PSS doesnt. if you just drive on the street you probably wont use the adjustment much, so the PSS should be fine, its also cheaper

problem with the CS, and the Flex for that matter, is there is a minute difference in valving between full soft and full stiff compared to other coilovers on the market. Nice units for sure, but the valving range leaves alot to be desired IMHO
as for the roberuta kit, its a neat idea for sure for show use, but its so expensive it's nuts

a friend has the Tein Super Street, so ill be going for a ride in his car this weekend before i decide
my current Tokico's are meant to have a wide range of adjustment, but i just set them at medium and havent touched them yet
the other cheaper option i have is just replacing my Tanabe NF210 springs, with something with higher ride height but similar rates and progressive coil
