Default Brake Dust

Ive had my Z for about 4 months. Ive noticed that I keep having a build up of brake dust on my front rims. I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this or had this problem.

+1 - The Hawk pads really helped reduce the amount of brake dust I had (by about 80% - 90%) and are great for a daily driver.

I got the Brembos, Dust Factory! But it comes right off, I wouldn't let it sit on wheels for a long time though.

The stock pads are horrible for dusting. Mine get covered after just a few days of driving.

I have EBC Green Stuff pads and haven't had any trouble with them. I remember I hadn't washed my wheels for like two weeks and friend's Z had more brake dust than I did from a few days. He was pretty amazed.

if you do, dont use spray on tire shine. Or at least dont directly spray it on to the tire, the overspray you get on the wheels attracts brake dust like twice as much.

EBC Yellow stuff works pretty ok as well. Less dust than the rears now even and better braking... (on brembo)

for anyone interested in Hawk Pads - we have them for Brembo and non Brembo equipped cars

http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?m...ing&prodid=339

they do have significantly less dust than stock

We'll also be loading the Hawk Ceramic pads to the site tomorrow, which dust even less!

I have te EBC Green pads and wouldn't agree that they cut down on dust much. My rims are always covered with brake dust, a little less than the stock pads perhaps, but not enough to warrant picking them over Hawks...
