Default coilovers

Can someone suggest to me a good coilover set for the 350Z? A set where you can set the settings for height and stiffness would be nice.

I love the way they perform. MUCH better than the OEMs. 15 way adjustable dampening. Put it this way... all the cars i've ever had, I've always replaced the factory shocks with after markets. Factory shocks, IMO suck. Also, don't forget, the aftermarket shocks are designed really for racing/ HiPo apps. So, the rides a bit stiffer, but you feel more in control of the car. Its a give and take deal. They do have coilovers that are stiffer than some so do your research. Maybe a downside is that they say you'll probably need to rebuild the seals after a couple two three years. depending on how much you drive the car. Maybe other members can chime in on that issue. Anywayz, check out my sig, there is a picture of a before and after install of the coilovers.

Probably the best coilovers for the Z and many other cars are made by these guys:

http://www.kw-suspension.com/en/index.php

There's some good info on them in this thread too:

1. define your goals for getting coilovers
2. defire your budget

from there, you'll narrow it down to your choices

1. Competition, racing I want coilovers which can give me the performance I need while on the track or a race. But also the ability to drive it normally on the street. Needs to have adjustable settings.

2. Anything below ten thousand Euro's is fine.

well, you've got to do a bit more thinking. A coilover that one would use on a full out racing car is alot different, and will behave alot differently, than one you use on a street car. Even an adjustable suspension is likely to not have the amount of adjustment needed to truly go from street to all out track.

If by track you mean a club day type outing, then you've got alot of options

As for price, did you mean 1200 Euro? 12000 Euro is half the price of the car just about....

Humm then I guess i'll go for a full out racing suspension since performance is a bigger goal for me. And for track just a club type outing/expedition but more of top speed highway runs. As for price 10,000 euro's is the maximum I'm willing to pay for a set of coilovers. If it would help to narrow down the options to find the "perfect" one for me then including coilovers I want a Adjustable suspension for racing with full pillow ball shocks mounts and forged-aluminum control arms...

I honestly don't think you need to spend anywhere near that type of money quite honestly

I would look seriously into the KW Competition coilovers - a ton of features, very modestly priced and they have strong and significant racing background throughout Europe and the world, so servicing is not an issue. Plus, you can set them up with a variety of spring rates to suit different tracks and driving conditions, and custom valving is also available as well. In addition, they are very street friendly as their dampening adjustments are great.

Not to mention they are a German based company

They are built to order with a strong emphasis placed on customer needs and wants and they are totally customizable for what you're looking for as a driver.

Price varies by spec but they start at around $3000.00

Let me know if you are interested and I can get you going in the right direction if you want to look.
