umm if you know anything about drifting just about EVERY drifter in D1 and Formula D use their e-brake. Rhys Millen, Keichi Tsuchiya, JR etc.... all of them... and all of them drive RWD cars like the Z, s15, Supra, s13's etc....
they have a certain handbrake mod done so that when you pull it up it doesnt lock, once you release the hand brake it drops back down... this methoad is used for higher speed drifts when Feint drifting and clutch kicking doesnt work as well to get it sideways....

If you look in the FSM it is called a "parking brake". No where is it called an "Emergency brake".
Enough said on that.
If the parking brake lever is not so effective anymore you may need to adjust the shoes, then the cable.
Just need to remove rear wheel to adjust parking brake shoe. More time is needed to lift the car and remove wheels than to do the adjustment.
