Default Best Caliper Paint?

Any thoughts on the best kind of caliper paint and place to get it? I think I want to go with red or gold....can't decide.

G2. You can pick up some at Tirerack. You will need to buy your own brush as the one they provide is too small.

+1 on the G2. It's nice and thick, almost like an epoxy. You can put several coats on before it starts to cure allowing you to get a smooth coating on the calipers. Actually, there's probably enough in one kit to do two sets of Z brakes.

I used a high temp spray paint from Advance Auto. Worked fine. Interested in this G2 paint though. Any links guys?

EDIT: Found the site; http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/g2/caliper_paint.jsp
Think I might order some next month. Hopefully the weather will be warm enough.

+1 on G2. I painted a set of calipers 5 yrs ago with just one coat. The paint has survived the salty Midwest winters with no special upkeep. The paint is still glossy. No chips, flakes, or cracks. Good stuff.

Buy here...

Is there a difference in the "High Temp" & "Ultra High Temp?"

BTW: Here is G2's site: http://g2usa.com/index.shtml

G2 is good stuff. Basically the old folia tec formula from germany. Great Paint on with good elasticity so it doesn't chip. The vht spray on is pretty good too.

That's what I used and it worked perfectly. Coated well and has kept it's color for the past 10 months. I sprayed a sh1tload of clear on the calipers after I finished painted.

I did duplicolor brush on in black, $11 on sale at pepboys with the cleaner brush and whatnot. I did not use any clear or anything, it thickens up well and one kit will easily do all four all over.

It worked well, after 12k miles I only had one chip on one caliper. One thing though, Corsair did his in red and after a few track days, they are pretty much black now.

I have a few

The clean is when it was first done, the dirty one is at 12k miles and I was about to take them off.
