Default evo VIII brembo brakes on 350z

I just won some brembo brakes off of ebay and got them in the other day. They are real nice, they are about 11" in size and they are used so they are a little dirty... I don't care, I can clean them up. I was wondering what I need to make these brakes work on my z. I have the performance line so it has 18" inch wheels like the touring but not like the track, so I'm pretty sure that clearance is not an issue. I do believe that I have to get new rotors, stainless steel brake lines, some pads, and mounting brackets. My question is what size calipers do I need and should I go with Brembo brand? Also is drilled or slotted better? I also need to know what size pads to get? The last thing I need to know is what exactly is the mounting brackets and where can i find them and how much do they cost? I know this is a lot of questions, but hey, i need to know to make my z stop on a dime. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

What exactly did you buy? From your post it sounds like you need rotors and calipers... Did you mean to say you needed pads? I'm confused...

I'm not sure if the calipers off of an EVO would work on a Z anyway. This would be better posted in the Modifications forum under brakes and suspension.

I'm sure if some kind of custom bracket and oter modifications are made they could fit.

You obviously haven't done any research or you wouldn't have bought something without knowing anything about it. Learn to search before asking questions. Your screen name says it all.

You could make them work (and by work I mean work like any brake kit, but not neccesarily work well or with the proper F/R bias).

You'll need:
Rotors with 350Z hats but the proper sizing for the evo calipers as far as thickness and diameter
Brake lines (I would imagine the input to the caliper is brembo universal, so just pick up a set of 350Z track lines)
Some custom fabricated caliper bracket to allow the evo caliper to bolt up

This will likely cost you more, if not in dollars then propbably in headaches, then just buying a proper Z brake kit would have. But good luck with the project and post pics and a description of how you made it work when (if) you get it done.

brakes are one of those important parts of the car that people that have no clue as to what they are doing or buying should not mess with at all. EVo brakes will not work on a Z, no matter how much money you put into it to jerry rig it. go resell them on ebay and get the proper ones instead, that is your best bet.
