Bedding in brakes, a couple of questions...
I just put on some project mu ns pads and machined my rotors (brembo) and did the whole procedure per Stoptech and I was wondering could you just have gone on the street and drag the brakes while applying gas while keeping the same mph. I was wondering if it was the same concept of raising the temperature of the pad while doing the "green fade" thing.
Also, how long should a brakes smoke after the bed in procedure (normal driving)? It's about 30 degrees here and when I get out of the car I still see some coming off of the rotor. TIA.

You could drag the brakes to increase the temp, but you can't control the thermal increase as well as when you follow the ST bed-in procedure. Just be sure to let the pads/rotors cool down by driving for a few minutes (5ish) after your last bed-in stop.

The procedure allows the front brakes to gradually reach about 470 degrees, then cool. Gradually reach 470 degrees, then cool again.
This is fine for the front brakes, but not the rear. I cannot think of a hot-cool-hot-cool procedure that would get the rear brakes to 470 degrees.
