brakes keep you alive and your car looking nice....I wouldn't buy knockoffs. Stick with Wilwood/Stoptech/Brembo or if you can't afford it....don't change them.

I bought a pair off Ebay for my Civic a couple of years ago. They were like $400 for all 4. They were slotted and crossed drilled. They made a world of difference. I would still stick with a trusted brand. But I do not think you have to spend $3000 though, unless you want to.

Cross drilled from ebay juck rotors WILL crack.
Go for powerslot.. or for drilled/slot combo, for for Rotora. Trusted brands.

Powerslot, only slotted. Cross drilling doesnt do much and only makes the disc weaker.
If you want a BBK, I suggest AP racing, 13'' front, and a 12.7 i think rear from stock brembo brakes. Thats a winning combo.

I posted photos and critique of eBay rotors in the proper forum. I plan to update the tread at 10,000 mile intervals. Search is a great tool.

Hey Oman, I'll have a set of Stoptech slotted rotors off my Z here by this weekend if you want them. I'll sell em to ya super cheap, like $50 or something. Just the fronts though. I'm installing my AP Racing big brake kit on sat.

If you're looking on ebay then budget seems to be a concern. Powerslot ftw.

Brake rotors (slotted, drilled or OEM) will not add much performance for your car. I would just get a set of OEM and some better pads and call it a day.

Ah, I should have clarified. My sticker shock was relating to the OEM Brembo rotors. Holy cow! The Powerslot equivalent was like 1/6 of the price.

I don't know why no one ever mentions DBA, but they make some killer rotors. I ordered mine from Gripforce off of eBay and they were a great seller. I had some brake fade with the stock rotors and Hawk HPS pads but since I switched to DBA 4000 series rotors and Axxis ultimate pads I have had no issues while racing the car. Check them out...

Argh! I found gripforce on ebay and sent them an email about the DBA rotors and this is the response I got:

Hi Julie,

Unfortunately we have stopped selling all and any kind of brake products (rotors, pads, etc.) starting from earlier this week.

The reason behind this is for us to reconstruct our brake store. It will take approximately 2 months to complete. We are going to change the way we sell to make the process smoother and more effective.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but in the mean time, please be sure to check out our clutch store at G ripforce-Clutches in Ebay stores.

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to let us know.

Thank you!

Regards,
John
Speed Solution International Inc

Can anyone else recommend a retailer for DBA rotors?

I will concur ont he DBA's - we run on a few of our cars and they have been absolutely fantastic, and accept a really wide variety of pad compounds

I run the 5000's on my car with an AP caliper and I've run every pad from Mintex 1144 (very mild street pad) all the way up the Hawk Blues and Porterfield R4's without incident. Currently using Ferodo DS2500's since last summer, and it's been terrific
