Default D2 Coilover systems

Hey guys, I did a search for D2 no results. I'm wondering if annyone on here is running this setup and what your thoughts might be. I'm looking for a new set of coilovers and it's between the D2's and the cusco's. Any thoughts

Thanks,
-Ryan

here is a link to the D2 system, nice price too

very interesting considering D2 has a longer history in racing, touring cars, and rally than most other companies... not to mention the shocks are fully rebuildable, do any other companies offer fully rebuildable shocks for thier coilovers? since this will not be a trailer queen and Baltimore city is unforgiving, rebuildable shocks are a must have for me.

anyone have any links to storys or customers "bad quality" claims?

Hmm.. don't know why you'd go for D2. For that kind of money, I think you'd want to choose between Cusco and JIC?

Don't waste your money on that junk. Its up to you if you want to get it. If the product sucks, don't come back here and complain because we've already told you so.

I've read that d2 suspension isnt a must have. What do you guys think of the 8 piston 356mm d2 brakes? I am interested in buying them. What suspension do you really like than?

Says who? You? LOL... Hm....for your information, most of us here don't have $2000 to spend on a set of Cusco or JIC coilovers. For the price that Tein offers, i would rather take my chance with them than D2. At least Tein offers coilovers that most of us can afford. If Cusco and JIC cost that much more, why not spend the money on advertising? Hm.......

Why would you pick D2's, when you can pick Stance coilovers for less and find how many positive reviews? Have you considered what spring rates the D2's use and what your honest road condition's are?

I had the Tein Basic Coilovers for about a year. I sold them becuase I got a real good deal on some D2's. I must say, they were an improvement over the Tein's. The ride is a little more firm, but offers a greater stability around corners and more adjustability. For those who are commenting negatively, have you ever driven on them? Have you ever seen them? How do you know what they handle like?

Basics are known to not have the greatest dampning performance so your comparison is within reason.

I didn't have to own any of the suspension's I've tested to know in advance how they would behave, I could only hope that the review's penned were possibly done by someone that might actually know what to look for. I've been on suspension's that got review's by other's where they glowed even gushed how great they are, they have no clue what undampning is let alone what proper dynamics are all about.

Hmmm.....I never said i picked D2's. And for your information, I would rather go with Stance than D2 with crappy quallity. And how many positive reviews have you seen with D2's? If you would rather go with D2's then be my guest. No one is stopping you from getting one.

It depends what you would like to do with your car. I agree, if you take your car to the track, then Basics is not the one for you due to non-adjustablility(dampening), and spring rates. But if you just need coilovers with great quality, then i would rather go with Tein basics.
