Default HOTCHKIS springs settling too much?

Anyone have any experience with this?

About a year after I got the springs, I noticed it settling, now it seems even worse. They are supposed to be 15mm lowering in the front and 19mm in the rear, and they are really really close to a full 1" in the front (with new tires and 35 lbs of pressure) and a hair over 1" in the rear. The WHOLE reason I went with the Hotchkis is b/c they are supposed to be great quality, not supposed to settle and I had someone there install them, PLUS I did NOT want my car that much lower, and these were the springs that lowered them the least.

DJK,

Doing well. I haven't been around much lately, since I got my car all done/dialed in (or so I thought). I am in the process of getting it to be exactly how I want it to be, and the ride ht is bugging me and I need to install my ipod

Have you gained any weight over the past year? Maybe the extra drop is because of you!

I think given the day-to-day conditions the springs deal with the manufacturers drop claims are just "close" and not exact. Are you rubbing or having any issues...or do you just not like the look now?

I'm not sure what my drop is.

Actually, I have lost 25 pounds and the car has gained non. NO, I think it looks a bit too low now, the wheel wells no longer follow the contour of the wheel as nice.

Ya, me neither. Now I am not sure what to do. Put the stock springs back on and raise it up 1/2" higher than I like it, keep it, which is about 1/2" lower than I like it, or buy another set and see if they work better? (but why would I buy something that I already have?). Maybe I just cut my stock springs just a tiny bit?

Ideas???

not sure if I have any alignment issues, I had it done, but nothing was really said about it being a problem. I have noticed that my front tires are wearing faster and faster and ESPECIALLY on the inside (where the outside are like new) and this makes me think that they springs are settling more and more and the car is getting lower.

I noticed that my front end seems to be noticably lower than when the Hotchkis springs were installed a year ago. I fully expected them to sag though. With my 245/35/19's up front, I have 3/8" of wheel gap. If It was any lower in the front, it would look too low and bottom on even more driveways. Thank God it stopped sagging.

I didn't like the rake from the rear being higher than the front and cut down the spring bumpers and dropped the rear 1/2" more to level out the car. Looks perfect now.

If I had the stock 225/45/18's it would look even lower I'd imagine.

i think you should get coilovers , you could get away with springs if you dont dive the car too much .

I've been on Hotchkis for about 2years now and haven't sag that would be noticeable. I run 255/35/19F and 285/35/19R w/ rear fenders cut.
