is it at all possible to make the tein edfc work with the tokico d spec adjustable shocks. i haven't seen any close up pics of the under side of the edfc motors so i don't know if the threads or adjust tool they use is the same or close. also how many full turns does the edfc motors rotate because if its 7.5 turns or close to it i might be able to just weld that **** on there. any info would be greatly app.

also i dropped the car like 2" in the back and 1 3/4" in the front, or so (its tucking) and overall i'm happy with it, (i'll post some pics soon as the snows gone) but i have the spc toe arm but thats not enoghf adjustment cuz the toe gets f*cked up trying to get it in spec. will the adjustable traction rods help with toe like they say they do? because many places told and even showed me that the lower camber rod from spc isn't really any good without other things like the spring seat being more adjustable. the closest multiple places could get it was -3.5 on the right rear and -3.6 on left rear. the rears all i'm worried about cuz i can't get very good traction. the fronts are only -2.2 degrees any way.

 

I have no idea but it would be cool if you can add the EDFC onto tokico's. I would be down for that

i'm gonna call tein usa today and find out. but anyway so does and one know if the adjustable rear radius rods (rear traction rods) really help with toe or not?

As for your alignement, the SPC is more than enough to bring that drop back into spec - it can be time consuming, but it sounds to me like you need to find a different place to bring the car to

 

they can get the camber in spec but not without screw up the toe. spc camber arm is enoughf but the spring seat is'nt nearly enoghf. the best , my friend at town fair tire can do, and the nissan dealership is -3.6 camber in the rear anything more and it will screw up the toe. and they both said that the spc cam lobe for the spring seat wouldn't be enoghf adjustment so don't bother unless i can pair it up with something else. if thats wrong then good i'd give it a shot i just don't want to waste my money on something thats not really gonna help. thats why i'm asking about the rear radius rod because if they do really help out than together all three may solve the issue. but i haven't seen any info really about the rear radius rods other than from misleading advertisements. i want to know if anyone acually has experience with these.

p.s. i spoke with tokico friday and they said that the tein edfc fits on the tokico d spec shock and does work but there trying to reprogram the unit to turn more rotations. they said that it only turns about 4.5 rotations when the tokicos need 7.5 turns.there experimenting with it to see if it would be worth producing. im trying to confirm that 4.5 turns is right because then it would work just with limited adjustablity, which i could live with.

 

I really didn't plan on responding to this thread, but something just strikes me as odd, puzziling I guess.

If your at -3.6 and your claiming that the SPC's adjustment range of +or- 3 degree's won't be enough, just where do you plan to adjust to?

I really find it hard to believe the Tokico has enough interest in making their shocks adjustable with a EDFC system to justify R&D let along production, which brings me to ask, who did you speak to at Tokico. The D-spec is a great shock, but it's not popular with the crowd of people that may need to adjust their shocks more then once or twice if ever. We already have Koni's rebound adjustable shock which does not require removal to adjust the rear shocks.

 

 

seems like an alot of money merely to have the ability for "in car", limited adjustability of a shock that itself, as G35sedan said, really needs no adjustment once you find it's sweet spot

I've got coilovers on my own car....in the 2 years I've had them, maybe I've adjusted the dampening out back 2 or 3 times.....and mind are bottom adjustable (I don't even need to take the rear wheels off).

If it were me...I'd pick up a set of Koni's and team with a suitable spring - it's a better shock anyway
