Default SPC toe bolts slipping

OK, this has been driving me absolutely crazy the past 6-9 months.

I get the car aligned and every is great. After a week or two the steering wheel gradually starts to cant left or right. I get the alignment checked and the rear toe seems to keep going out of whack causing the car to 'crab' and the resulting permanent steering correction.

If I don't get it fixed quick enough, the inside thread of the tire gets completely shaved down.

I've had different technicians work on the car so it's not limited to one guy.

I think part of the issue is how tight do you get the bolt on the aluminum subframe fork. It seems as though the tighter you get the bolt, the more the aluminum mounting point/fork flexes.

Any one with similar problem or solutions?

I just put my bolts in, my wheel was canted off to the left but i think that was becouse of the poor allignment. Im intrested to know the outcome. Sorry i cant help i hope i dont have the same problems. I supose if it keeps slipping ill tack a weld bead on each cam bolt to hold it. Then when i need to change toe ill have to grind it off.

I'm not sure, but I've had no problems with slippage, maybe some loctite on the bolts, or a dab of silicone on the washer to help grip to the aluminum?

That is very strange. I recommend that you make sure the alignment shop is tightening the bolts down to the proper torque spec.

Also did anyone have a problem with rust after dremeling the subframe? I live a couple of miles from the ocean so this could be a problem...
The subframe is aluminum.....

if it's dremmeled prperly should have no problems...I did mine until I could BARELY turn the bolt 360 degrees....this ensured that whatever position I put it in....it would stay with out doubt....many other people grind past what is recommended...

What if you dremmeled slightly passed it? What will happen? If the SPC is causing some slippage then will installing the stock toe bolts solve the problem?

the bigger the hole, the less bite the bolt will have. Holds true for camber bolts, or any other nut/bolt combo. This is why they give you the template...it needs to be trimmed to the exact outline of the template

So there is a fix to this then? Not even if putting the stock toe bolts on?

if you drilled the hole too big, then no, there is nothing you can do about it.

well...not exactly true...you can hire a welder (who can weld aluminum) to come in and fill it in...then grind it down. It'd work, just be a PITA.

you're going to fill in an aluminum hole and then re-grind it to accept the bolt? Not something I'd trust, especially for a load point

I had it aligned again but my toe bolts aren't slipping I thought they were.
