All,

First off, I have Cusco Zero2 coilovers. Yesterday before the autocross I was putting around town and hit a small bump in the road and i heard the front spring in my passenger side coilover make this pop noise that sounds like a spring going "bongggg" i knew it was a spring becauseyou can tell the way the sound kind of resonates after it happens. From what I have read searching this is maybe the spring repositioning itself in the lower spring seat?

Later at the autocross my first 2 runs went fine, on my 3rd i started feeling and hearing some clunking coming from the passenger side suspension, I immediately stopped the run and called it a day. I took the wheels off today and checked all suspention bolts, upper a arms, all bolts on the sway bars and sway bar end links. Everything was tight. I did notice that when I went to tighten the spring seats on the coilovers that they did tighten up maybe 1 milimeter or less, but it id snug up on that side. Could this have been just very slightly off and caused the spring to reseat and then clunking later because it wasnt tight?

I took the car out for a drive after i tightened the seats and I got the car to make the spring binding sound once, but never a clunking noise nor the binding sound ever again. After the car cools, I plan to tighten up those front spring seats again.

Anything else i should check or be worried about? Is this normal to peroidically check the front seats to ensure they are tight? This car is a track only car and rarely sees road time so the suspension does get a good workout every month.
