Default TEIN Springs

How many of you installed this springs?

How low will it drop the car? My shop says that it will drop the car 1.0" front and rear after a couple of days.

Up to now (2 days after install), it has dropped around 0.5". Is that normal? Will it drop more later on?

It settles alot in the first 1-2 days. I will take about 10-14 days to fully settle- mine ended up about 0.75 drop. Left the front at that setting had the shop drop the rear another 1" (1.75 total)

Thanks for the reply!

Can I have some of close-up pics of the drop (both front and rear)? Side view will be best.

Great!

I'll wait for a while and if it's not enough, I'll tell my shop to drop some more.

I thought he was referring to the coilovers- You won't be able to lower the car any further- however they should still settle a bit more.

I've waited for a while now, and I think that's as low as the springs will settle.

If I go and cut the springs, will it affect the performance/handling of the car in any way?

Question

Are you talking about the S. Tech springs? I didn't know they were out yet?

Anyway, if these are indeed what you have, can you post a pic of the car so we can see the drop?

Also, how much were they?

VQ is right- Do not cut your springs- unless you don't care about destroying the rest of your suspension.

Website for TEIN says the drop is only .7 inches front and .6 inches rear. Doesn't look like much at all. At least with the Eibachs, you can tell it's been dropped.

Damn, I should've checked first!

Eibach drops the car by 1 inch front and rear correct? Any other springs go lower than that?

Not sure if they're out yet, but H&R springs usually have more of an aggressive drop than the Eibach's do.
