Default Has anybody used Metal Matrix brake pads?

My local shop recommended these pads for my next track day. I've searched and haven't found any thread unrelated to heavy metal music or something else.

Are these pads any good or am I throwing away money?

Yeah, these are the same as the Stillen pads.

They were just installed and unless they get a lot grippier really fast or they are coming off before VIR. So far the HP+ blow them away.

Believe these are the Axxis pads, per http://www.propartsusa.com/informati...0fa&info_id=13

Prolly not the best track pad, but I've run them on other cars for daily driving and they've worked well.

Are you unhappy with their initial bite, or...?

They engage so smoothly that initial bite is a hard term to use to describe them. With my HP+ I had to be gentle with the pedal or it could be a head jerking stop. It takes much less pedal pressure to make the HP+ work compared to these. I think the OEM pads were better so far.

These are the second set of ceramic pads I've ever used and my initial experience agrees. I don't like ceramic pads at all. They just don't grip well.
