Default RSR springs

Hey guys, I was thinking of getting RSR springs and i was wondering how many of you have the TI 2000 springs vs the down springs. How is the difference in ride quality or handling? Any place to get a good deal on them, just looking for any and all opnions. Thanks guys.

I have the Ti 2000 springs. The ride is pretty much stock. The handling is a little better thanks to the lower center of gravity. The slight shift in stiffness to the front, (as compared to stock) moved my 05's balance a little toward understeer but not bad.

I don't know how they compare to the regular down springs, but they are a lot lighter than the Hotchkis springs. (-only a little lighter than stock)

I had the down springs, except they're made of steel instead of the Ti2000's titanium alloy. They are the exact same spring rates and drop. Basically, there's only one difference. Weight. Very little of it. You'll never notice.

Overall, these are good springs for sporty street handling, with a slight drop and a good ride. I was under the impression that they were designed to match well with the stock sway bars. Many people made comments about the drop. It was definitely noticeable.

Are you guys running those springs with stock shocks? I've been looking at the RSRs for a while.

So the spring rate isnt much different? Im lloking for a spring with a higher spring rate than stock so the stiffer ride wont bother me. RSR seems to have a higher rate than most aftermarket springs.

i have the ti2000's as well. Springs rates and drop are identical between the regular downsprings vs the ti2000. The only difference is ti2000 has more bling factor of having titanium in it (very little of it), reducing the weight. I've never seen the regular Downsprings, so i can't comment on the weight difference.

I'm running them on my 04.5 revised shocks, so the spring rates are nearly identical to match the shocks.

I really don't have the technical know how to tell the difference in ride quality vs oem...it pretty much feels the same to me.

If you're looking for stiffer than stock, they've been discussing the COBB springs in another thread. Those are another one I'm evaluating. 15% stiffer than stock 04.5 - but very new so there aren't many Z owners who can share experiences. Offers a greater drop than the RSRs (0.75 in / 0.9 in vs 0.6 in / 0.6 in).
