Most front BBK are designed for use with OEM rear brakes, some for Brembo ones, some for non-Brembo. I am personnaly using a 13" Brembo GT kit on the front and just drilled OEM replacement rotors w/upgraded brake pads on the back. Works good. But the 14" Brembo GT is designed for OEM rear Brembos.

It will work fine... I run an AP Racing 14.25" 6 piston kit up front and have non brembo ST Stage II parts in back. Talk about a size difference!

Eventually I will upgrade to an AP kit for the rear though, mostly for aesthetic reasons.

A cheaper alternative to the BBK conversion (if aesthetics is all that you're after), I think, would be to powdercoat in flat black the calipers and all the rotor area that is not in contact with the brake pad, to prevent the rust from showing. I am planning to do this when my current rear pads are worn off and it's time for replacement. I'll let you guys know how the finish holds up.

^ The color is not an issue. The stock rear calipers have already been painted black, and like I posted I am running a stoptech stage II kit in the back (rotors only have a small ring of rust near the hub, the rest is coated). Mainly what I find problematic is the huge size difference in rotor diameter between the 14.25" AP rotors up front and the 11.X" stoptechs in back. From a side angle it looks pretty ridiculous. Like comparing a dinner plate to a compact disc.

the OP was talking about taking the OEM front calipers and putting them onto the rear, not leaving the stock rears in place with a BBK front

Ah, good catch there. In that case: NO!

That's another benefit with using 13's in the front like myself here...
