Default G2 Caliper Paint

Hello all. I would like to see some close up pictures of anyone who as used the G2 caliper paint on their non-brembo stock calipers. I've heard good things about this system, but I haven't seen any close up pictures that I know of.

Thanks.

The G2 paint does a great job. It's nice and thick, almost epoxy-like so it covers the roughness of the brake calipers. You can put on several coats before it starts to get too thick and harden.

I used it and put the Graphics on. The paint lasts for a year or so before it needs to be repainted. This PIC was taken about 4 months after I repainted the calipers.

Normally when I see oem non-brembos painted (as shown here), the paint does not work to minimize the dimpled effect of the cast surface of the calipers. Some of these look smooth, but I'm wondering: If I were to paint mine, could I possibly sand the visible surface of the caliper smooth after a coat, and then reapply for a smooth look?

if you do, it will take more than one day to finish the project. You will have to let them to fully dry before any nice sanding can be done.

I tried to sand my before painting, but it was taking too long.

Not a problem with the G2 system. It's an epoxy type coating. You add an activator then you have about 8 hours to use it up. You can recoat after a couple of hours, enough to do 3 or 4 coats in a day. You do need to wait like 24 hours before you mount wheels and drive the car to let the paint cure.

It's thicker than paint so it easily fill in the dimpled surface of the OEM calipers.

its good stuff...i took my time though when i did mine and for some reason it started drying before i even got to the last brake...so i had to hurry my *** up and get that last one done...it comes out nice when it dries...not as nice as my new bbk though.

Thanks, there is a close-up shot in the original post, too, but it's not showing up for some reason.
