Default Brembos from a Range Rover on a 350z; is it possible?

I have the chance of a set of 6pot (front) and 4 pot (rear) brembos from a range rover, would they fit my Z that has std brembos?

Seems like the biggest obstacle would be getting the custom brackets made. Of course you would have to make sure the calipers clear your wheels.

in a word, nope

not only would the calipers need custom brackets (expensive), the rotors wouldn't work, and I am sure that the piston sizes and bias are completely different from such a heavy truck to a Z

I think somebody was going to try to do this a year or so ago and couldn't make it work.

I asked the same question 2 yrs ago... No Go

Brembo makes calipers and brackets for many applications and most aren't universal.

yes the STi/Evo brembos will fit with simple brackets. I put a set of brembos on my s13 from an STi using evo9 rotors and a simple set of homemade brackets. And if z33 brakes fit on s13s, then they are reversable. So with a simple bracket, yes the STi brakes will fit.

except the piston sizes between the 2 are totally different, which altering bias and torque as well. If there wasn't a need for a Z/G specific caliper, Brembo would not have bothered going through the time and expense to develop one. Anything can always be made to fit, but mind as well have it perform as intended as well

Can you please explain this simple homemade bracket you fabbed? The last thing you should be telling the OP is that it is safe to fabricate his own caliper brackets.

whats the point of getting sti or evo brakes when u can get the own z brembo's. they're also brembo's (if ur looking for the name) and they were made for our car, all the r&d was optimized for the z, and its a direct bolton. going through the headaches of trying to fit sti or evo brake isn't worth it
