Default bendix brake pads from advance auto parts?

i heard from some of the members here that bendix are pretty good. good on the bites, low dust, and last long. is it true?? not much information about it . also i heard from some of my friends saying that i shouldnt trust advance auto parts pads and that ceramic pads are bad. any justification??

my stock pads are bad now and i need new one i dont want to get stock pads again because the dust are terrible.

im not asking for what brand is good im just asking is bendix any good.

Depends on how you're going to use your car. I have installed and bedded Bendix pads on various passenger cars with good results. As you state, their bite is good and performance felt solid, cold and hot. I cannot comment on dust levels as I have never been around these cars long enough to wash them.

If you want to extract the most from your brakes, I would advise going with something geared more toward the Z's character. Per your request I wont post any recommendations.

You aren't going to be tracking, but don't forget the Z is a high HP, heavy car. Even though your car is a daily driver, I'm sure you do some spirited driving on occasion, agreed? In certain situations you may pushing your brakes near their limits. I don't mean to imply that Bendix brakes cannot handle these situations, but I would value the security and peace of mind afforded by high quality, name brand pads. I order my pads (project mu B-force) from here:

Oh, and as an FYI I have heard mixed reviews on ceramic brakes. I don't have any first hand experience so I can't comment first hand. Once you narrow down your choices, make sure you search the forums to help make your final decision.

As long as you are not tracking/ autoXin' your car, it should be fine. However, mind you that there isn't alot of economical street pads that can beat the performance of our OEM pads. (I know the OEM pads are dusty and wear fast, but they do offer good braking performance)

I've had bendix pads for about 5000 miles now. (ceramic from AAP) They are great!! Near zero dust. And i can still see the cross hatch pattern on my rotors (also bought new at the same time as the pads) and no lip at all!! Bang for teh buck, for everyday/spirited driving i have loved them!!

yeah so i heard that oem is the best to go but most have to agree that the dust is just unbearable.

well not to be questioning project mu capabilities but i have read many threads that people said clearly not to get them, while i did also read that some people did compliment them. but from what i saw i will try to steer away from project mu unless more people recommends them. dont they have terrible dust and low biting or something like that?

well it was tough to decide on my own to get ceramics or not....i would say it was tougher to decide after the replies.

im guessing i go for the bendix .. i saw more pros than cons on this one.

thanks guys.... any more comment would be great bu i wouldnt get the brakes until like 2 weeks. until then i will keep searching.

No and no (B-force pads specifically). The cold bite is fine and the dust is much less than stock. In doing my research I didn't come across any threads stating what you mention. Care to provide a link or two for support?

Good luck in your pad odyssey!

Thanks! Again, in my personal experience they have quite a bit less dust than stock. Good luck with the Bendix, I'm sure they will serve you well.
