Got wing put on, need new shocks?
Got my wing put on today but the technician said I have to get heavier duty struts because the factory ones won't hold up since its obviously heavier back there now. Its a 2003. Will they hold up or was the guy BS'ing me.
What are some of the best struts out there?

Are you guys retarded?
He's talking about the hatch struts and yes he is right. The stockers often won't support the added weight of the wing and you'll find the hatch closing on your head.
He's not BS'ing you. And to the three above me. Usually a good idea to have a clue before you post.

He is definitely not BS'ing you. The stock struts have a hard enough time holding up the trunk with no spoiler (or the small stock one). Mine gave out after 4-6 months and had to be replaced. I got some cheap ones from walmart which worked tons better than the stock struts and a helluva lot cheaper than OEM.
