Default What is a in between street and race pads?

03 non-Brembo

Currently I am running Hawk HP+ for eons now. And they're starting to wear very thin now. I also got into the whole AutoX thing too. Personally I don't think I will be making good use of race pads.

Price I am looking for something reasonable too. So pretty much I am asking what is an upgrade from the Hawk HP+?

Another question, how can you tell if your pads or rotors are worn out? Right now for the pads, I based it off from what I can hear. Probably isn't the best way to determine.

endless cc-a or cc-x would probably fit what you're looking for; however, they're a bit pricey.

I've had them on my car now for about 2000 miles on the road plus about 3.5 hours of track time and they have been great. They are currently at about 50% life and do dust quite a bit. I think they are cheaper than the hawk HP+ and are supposed to be good to 1200 degrees. I experienced no fade on the track stopping from 115mph repeatedly. Initial bite is great, even in 35 degree weather.

edit: stock 04 brakes, not brembos
