actually I am...
I am here to figure out what you guys want, what you guys know, what you guys need, and what the general knowledge is.

Then I can try and make a product that 'fits'

another question while I'm here. Would you consider a competing product from an unknown brand? I don't have any brand recognition to offer...just good production applied correctly.

Wow...cool. Brakes would have to have test numbers since there's no track record for performance. You would also have to have product liability insurance - in case the worst that could happen....happens. How you gonna afford castings?

good question

we are an established rotor manufacturer - we build tooling and produce castings, machine them and have been since 1985

we supplied quite a few name brands particularily in imports.

now we are trying to get into performance stuff as the market for quality OE stuff has disappeared.

So in a nutshell we are the opposite of most

we have the production quality and know how...I just need like a couple million to market and sell

I can't find the correct smilie for that

You don't work for Coleman Racing, eh?

My requirements are fairly simple. I want a 2-piece rotor / hat setup that is fairly inexpensive to replace. Of course, it has to be comparable or better in "peformance" to the OEM Brembos.

If I can't find that (any time soon), then I'll end up w/ the Brembo slotted from tirerack.com.

splparts.com sells Project Mu 2-piece rotor / hat, but only for the fronts and at $650. I don't know how much a rotor replacement costs.

Michael.

I'll assume you mean an OE size 'upgraded' rotor so you can retain your other brake components.

Why 2-piece - looks or weight ?? I'll guess that the 'big' brake rotors are two piece becuase of weight. For racing performance is it....cost and complexity are no big deal.

You add a lot of complexity w/ 2-piece and if the rotor doesn't float I would think that is not good on track day.

no..not coleman
