Default Removing Front Brake Dust Shield

I will be installing a set of big front brakes and I want to remove the front dust shield. I am supposed to trim it but I would rather remove it. Do I have to take the entire front knuckle off to remove the hub, or can the hub be removed with the assembly on the car. HELP PLEASE!

Just cut it with tim snips , removing it leeds to problems with the wheel speed sensers. You can pretty much cut the whole thing off.

Thanks... I will take that advice. I have a Dremel with a cutoff wheel. I tried the tin snips and it turned into something you would put around a prison to prevent inmate escape.

I used my dremel with a cutoff wheel and it worked great. Then I used the sanding drum attachment to smooth the sharp edges. It worked nicely.
