New shocks/struts after running over concrete island
For those of you who don't know a couple weeks ago I ran over a concrete island in a parking lot that I didn't see... everything is repaired now but since then it almost feels as if my suspension may be a bit softer. I can't tell exactly, maybe its all in my head but it doesn't feel as 'bouncy' I guess.
I think maybe I should replace my shocks/struts since they took a lot of impact which may have reduced their quick rebound effectiveness.
Can I just go with some stiffer aftermarket shocks for now then do lowering springs later? I was planning on doing that anyway but now I think I have a reason to jump and do it.
What do you guys think? I autocross and such and feel the need to stiffen things up a slight bit to make it handle better.

I feel for ya. I did that once in my GTI and about ripped my oil pan off.
For you, is "bouncy" a positive? If so, I'd agree look into some springs/coilovers. Unless it bent something, one impact isn't going to kill it's recoil ability.
My first mod was a 350Evo sway bar and I love it. My 2 cents.

Maybe i'm weird but I kinda like the stiff suspension... plus it doesn't feel like its as flat around the corners anymore, feels like it rolls a bit. Again maybe its all in my head... I dunno. Guess I'll just have to get some new shocks and find out.
Any suggestions on good value for money performance shocks?
